Official Contest Rules

BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS CONTEST, YOU AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH ARE A CONTRACT, SO PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE PARTICIPATING.

GENERAL RULES

All submissions must be made via the online application form. SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED.
You may submit up to two (2) Elestrals illustrations total. (You may choose a different Elestral for each illustration submission, or you may choose the same Elestral with different artwork). For a full list of available Elestrals to choose from, please visit https://collect.elestrals.com/elestrals. (Please note, the 8 Elemental Spirits at the top of the page DO NOT count as 'Elestrals' and are not valid for this contest).
You can only submit illustrations that have never been published before.
Your illustration cannot feature any of the following (in the background of the art or interacting with the focused Elestral); additional Elestrals, Spirits, Divine Gods, Divine Artifacts, or Stellar Elestrals.
The Effect, Stats, Subclass, and Element of the depicted Elestral will be the same as their current main set cards. For full details, please visit https://collect.elestrals.com/cards.
Your submitted illustration must follow the required specifications, referenced on the Illustration Contest page. Any submissions that do not follow these requirements may be rejected. If you wish to modify an illustration you’ve already submitted, you can resubmit it through the application form, as long as you do so before the contest’s deadline to enter has passed. (For a resubmission to be valid, you MUST use the same personal details as previously submitted). YOU CAN ONLY RE-SUBMIT EACH ILLUSTRATION ONCE.
Submissions must be original content created by the participant and must not contain any elements that are protected by someone else’s intellectual property rights, proprietary rights, rights of privacy, or rights of publicity. For clarity, this means that your illustrations MUST NOT include any art created by or using artificial intelligence. Elestrals will not consider any submissions that rely upon the legal doctrine of fair use.
Elestrals reserves the right to reject any submitted illustrations that do not follow the specific requirements and guidelines of this contest.

The winning artwork (and all files associated), once determined, will become the exclusive property of Elestrals. The artist of the illustration will receive credit for the design and their name will be printed on the official card, upon release. The winning artwork may be used for publicity, publication, or as content in any media, online or offline, without further permission, unless prohibited by law.

YOUR SUBMISSION

MUST NOT feature material which is in Elestrals’ sole reasonable discretion, hateful, slanderous, sexually explicit, obscene, pornographic, inappropriate, violent, self-mutilating (e.g., relating to murder, the sales of weapons, cruelty, abuse, etc.), discriminatory (including but not limited to based on race, sex, religion, natural origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), illegal (e.g., underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc.), offensive, threatening, profane, or harassing; or contain material that is threatening to any person, place, business, group or world peace; or contain words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic group; or contain images, words or text portraying nudity, acts of violence, or acts that are or appear to be unlawful or dangerous or in violation of, or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state where the Submission is created in their application.

MUST NOT include third parties, including but not limited to minors, celebrities, and friends, who have not expressly authorized the participant to display their image or likeness in any submitted application, or otherwise use such images or likenesses in accordance with these Official Rules. Participants must be prepared to provide signed third-party authorizations upon request.

If your submitted artwork depicts any of the before mentioned it will automatically be considered invalid and rejected.

RESTRICTIONS & ELIGIBILITY

Participants must be 14 years of age or older at the time of entry, unless prohibited by law.
Participants must be capable of communicating in English.
No purchase is necessary in order to enter this illustration contest.
The window to enter this contest will begin on February 3, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. ET and close on March 2, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Applications submitted after this window and incomplete submissions will not be considered.

WINNER SELECTION

The following winners will be selected from the valid entries: One (1) Grand Prize Winner, Two (2) Runner-Ups, and Five (5) Honorable Mentions (each, a "winner"). The prizes for those winners is as follows:

Grand Prize Winner - One (1) Elestrals Moonrise Creator Box, One (1) Moonrise Uncut Sheet, Winning Illustration will be published into an Official Card, Four (4) Copies of Final Card (each Signed by aDrive), and a Cash Prize of $100 (USD).
Runner-Up - One (1) Elestrals Moonrise Creator Box and a Cash Prize of $50 (USD).
Honorable Mention - One (1) Moonrise Booster Box.

Elestrals will select a panel of judges to go through the entries and determine a winner based upon the following criteria:

Creativity and originality.
Overall design and quality.
Depiction of the chosen Elestral and scene.

The winner will be notified during March-2025. No substitution or transfer of prizes is permitted. Final award of the prize will be contingent upon verification that the participant meets all of the eligibility requirements. The potential winner, or where the potential winner is a minor, the potential winner's parent or guardian, must sign and return (1) an Affidavit of Eligibility and a Publicity/Liability Release (except where prohibited by law) and (2) the original artwork and/or a hi-resolution layered digital file or a hi-resolution file plus an accompanying sketch within seven (7) days of receipt of those documents or the prize may be forfeited. In the event that Elestrals is unable to contact a potential winner, or response to a prize notification is not received within seven (7) days of its issuance, the prize may be forfeited. Where a prize is forfeited, the participant with the next best overall design qualifications in accordance with the judging criteria will be chosen as an alternate winner. Because this is a contest of skill, the odds of winning depend upon the quality and eligibility of the submissions received, as well as the number of entrants. Elestrals reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the contest should fraud, technical failures, or any other factors beyond the reasonable control of Elestrals impair the integrity of the contest, as determined by Elestrals in its sole discretion.

Elestrals will be responsible for shipping each prize item to the selected winners. Elestrals will NOT be responsible for any Import / Customs Fees that may/or may not occur for legal residents (including permanent residents) outside of the United States.

PUBLICITY; USE OF NAME, LIKENESS, AND ARTWORK

Except where prohibited by law, entry in the contest constitutes each participant’s consent to Elestrals’ use of his or her name, city and state of residence, entry, likeness, photograph, and image for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes in any media, online or offline, without further permission, consent, payment or other consideration. All non-winning designs and artwork submitted remain the property of the participant. Elestrals shall have the right to use said designs and photographs for publicity or as content in any media, online or offline, without further permission, unless prohibited by law.

RELEASE

By entering the contest, each participant agrees to release and hold harmless Elestrals, its parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any and all claims, causes of action and/or liability for any injuries, illness or death, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with participation in and/or entry into the contest or receipt or possession, use or misuse of any prize or element thereof. Elestrals, its respective affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, agents and employees are not responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete, stolen, misdirected, illegitimate, or any other error whether human, mechanical or electronic.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I draw a Stellar Elestral? Please do not draw Stellar Elestrals. Please draw your chosen Elestral according to its original design.
Is it OK to draw another Elestral in addition to the one specified? Your artwork cannot include any additional Elestrals alongside the chosen Elestral.
Can I include an Elemental Spirit in the artwork? Please do not include any of the Elemental Spirits in your illustration.
Can I include a Divine God in the artwork? Please do not draw any Divine Gods, Divine Artifacts, or additional Elestrals.
Can I submit a hand-drawn illustration? Yes, you can. In that case, please convert the illustration into digital form with a scanner, etc., and crop it to the specified dimensions before submitting it through the submission form.
How large should hand-drawn illustrations be? As long as the digital version you submit follows the specified image dimension, the hand-drawn version may be as large as you see fit. Remember to crop the file to the specified dimensions before submitting it through the submission form.
Can I submit an illustration drawn with pencils or colored pencils? Yes, you can. There are no restrictions on the art materials used.
Can I create an Elestral from clay, yarn, wool, felt, etc., and submit a picture of my creation? Yes, you can. Make sure the picture follows the specified image dimensions, and submit it through the submission form.
Can I sign my illustration? Please do not sign your illustration.
Can I include a message or other text on the illustration? Please do not include text or symbols of any kind in the illustration.
Can I apply with an illustration I drew in the past? As long as you have never published it, you can apply with an illustration that you drew in the past.
Can I apply with an illustration that I have submitted to other contests in the past? You cannot apply with an illustration that has already been submitted to other contests.
